I have created instructions for running VSeeFace on Linux for streaming that are hopefully easy enough for anyone to understand. The instructions for for Ubuntu and Ubuntu-based distros (I'm using Pop!OS myself) and I have tested it on both my PC tower and laptop as working. EDIT: Here's a pastebin of the instructions. VSee will launch automatically when installation is complete. Click 'Run' if prompted. When VSee launches, log in and start connecting with your friends. VSee should start downloading within seconds. If it doesn't, please click here. (In your case this is ubuntu-virt-server). You can also use apt commands with this meta-name. If you are wanting to remove tasksel packages, this gets into the weeds a bit. Please consult this Ask Ubuntu answer or any number of other answers out there. Please note that 'meta' apt packages do not match Tasksel package names.

Hi!
I could quite easily install vsee
with wine-staging (wine 1.7.44) on Ubuntu 14.04 (http://www.webupd8.org/2015/06/get-new- .. -wine.html). Audio and chatting seems to work, but the integrated HD webcam would not work. In the vsee settings the device Integrated_Webcam_HD is recognized, but test frame only says 'connecting'.I
tried following in winecfg (started from the terminal) without success:- Switch to Windows 7
- Libraries: Add devenum to the DLL overrides
And in regedit:
HKEYCURRENTUSER/Software/Microsoft and delete ActiveMovie
